I’m at Jamboree 2011! - Virtually anyway. =^)

Thanks to the Southern California Genealogical Society and RootsMagic several Jamboree sessions were made available for worldwide viewing on Saturday 11 June 2011.

Below are two shots from the first session, “Google Search for Genealogists” by Lisa Louise Cooke.  I always enjoy learning from Lisa!

Unfortunately, Curt Witcher’s presentation, “Fingerprinting Our Families – Using Ancestral Origins as a Genealogical Research Key” had some technological problems. The live feed kept dropping out.  It’s a shame because I was really was enjoying his presentation.  Here’s a shot I managed to capture.

The third session before lunch break was “Researching Your Union Civil War Ancestors” by David Lambert.  Learned a bunch from David and took three pages of notes!  Wish there was a handout for his presentation though.  Here is a shot of David.

There are two more live sessions after the lunch break.  You bet I’ll be there, if only via my computer screen!

Thanks a bunch to the Southern California Genealogical Society and RootsMagic!  By the way, you can access these recorded webinars if you are a member of SCGS.  You can find membership information by clicking here.

Happy Hunting!
