While cleaning up my Ancestry tree again tonight, I decided to check on my great grandfathers Find A Grave memorial. To my surprise and dismay, his marker photo is gone. Vanished.
I did some digging and discovered that the contributor of the marker photo is no where to be found on Find A Grave. It appears they left and took their photos with them.
I guess instead of cleaning up my ancestry tree, I will have to go through my Find A Grave memorials and make copies of them so at least there is a record if the photos disappear again.
(And for those worried about the copyright of the the marker photographs, I have always asked permission to use the grave marker photos on my blog, so there should be no problems saving those photographs.)
So upsetting!
